Advertising promotions
Amazon Ads may offer certain promotions to advertisers from time to time, where eligible advertisers can complete a qualifying action, or set of actions, in order to receive a specified amount of promotional clicks.
What are Advertising Promotions?
These promotions often require you to complete certain steps and/or meet qualifying criteria to be eligible to receive the promotional credits. Promotion terms and conditions will set forth the rules, restrictions, and limitations for a relevant promotion. They’ll include, without limitation, the date ranges the promotion is available, the required qualifying actions or steps you must take, and/or criteria you must meet to participate, and the approximate amount of time it may take to receive a promotion reward. These terms and conditions may vary across promotions, and across countries, so we suggest reviewing the applicable promotion terms and conditions in full before you participate in any promotion. We’ll list the availability and expiration dates for the promotional clicks in the terms and conditions.
Start and end dates
To check the start and end dates of your promotion (the Promotional Period), refer to the Terms & Conditions (T&Cs) of the email you received from Amazon Ads with the promotional credit offer. You won't receive the actual promotional credits during this Promotional Period. This period refers to the time during which you must perform the qualifying action in order to become eligible for the promotional credits, which will be applied to your account automatically on a future date (this date is also stated in the Terms & Conditions).
Once you’ve completed the qualifying activity, and after this specified date, the promotional credits will be automatically applied to your account with no further action required by you. The credits will be visible in Promotions Credit where you can also view the Awarded Date and Expiration Date of the credits.
Eligibility
To check the details on the specific qualifying action you must take in order to become eligible for the promotion, refer to the T&Cs of the email you received from Amazon Ads with the promotional credit offer. For example, a qualifying action might be to create and launch your first Sponsored Products campaign using a suggested ASIN by a certain date, and to keep that campaign active for at least 30 days. If you perform the qualifying action as specified in the email, you'll become eligible to receive the promotional credits in your account on the future date noted in the email.
Ad eligibility
To check if the promotion is applicable to any sponsored ads campaign, or if it’s specific to Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display, or Sponsored Products, refer to the T&Cs of the email you received from Amazon Ads with the promotional credit offer. Review these requirements carefully, as you’ll need to follow the instructions in the email in order to become eligible to receive the promotional credits. For example, if the qualifying action is to create a Sponsored Products campaign but you create a Sponsored Brands campaign instead, you won’t become eligible for the promotion, and therefore you won’t receive the promotional credits in your account.
Receiving credits
Please refer to the email that you received from Amazon with the promotional credit offer. The Terms & Conditions of this email will specify the date after which Amazon will automatically apply the promotional credits to your account. Once you complete the qualifying action(s), no further action is required by you in order to receive these credits. If you don't see the credits in your account, refer back to the original email you received to confirm 1) if you correctly performed the qualifying actions, 2) if these actions were executed during the promotional period, 3) the date on which Amazon will apply the credits to your account.
Example scenario: You might see a promotion offered where advertisers that are registered to advertise with sponsored ads could be eligible to receive a AED 100 click credit for completing all of the following: (i) launch first Sponsored Products campaign by a specified date with (ii) the setting of no end date on the campaign (the “Qualifying Action”). By launching a Sponsored Products campaign by the specified date and with a setting of no end date to the campaign, you would be eligible to receive a AED 100 click credit. It will be applied to advertising costs and will be subject to any additional restrictions in the terms and conditions.
